Evan Mirzai is a first generation, LGBTQ+ Iranian American and WGA Feature & TV Writer-Producer and Director from the Inland Empire. He is Chair of the WGA’s LGBTQ Writers Committee, a co-founder of the WGA's Middle Eastern Writers Committee, and he is the founder House of M Productions. Evan graduated UC Irvine with a degree in Political Science and International Relations and a certificate in Management from the Paul Merage School of Business. Evan's writing career started with four consecutive Black List honors and he has sold several studio features including his debut studio sale of ULTRA to Sony for Will and Jaden Smith to star and produce and ACCIDENTES to eOne for Ice Cube to star and produce.

Evan broke into Hollywood by interning, first, for Golden Globe nominated director Marc Forster (MONSTER’S BALL, WORLD WAR Z) and, second, Laura Ziskin at Sony Pictures (SPIDER-MAN Franchise, Stand Up 2 Cancer) before transitioning into the Coordinator position within the Feature Literary department of The Gersh Agency. Since 2022, Evan has sourced financing and global distribution for several award winning feature films in partnership with Matthew Helderman’s Buffalo8: IMMANENCE starring AQUAMAN’s Michael Beach, A LEADING MAN directed by Steven J. Kung (DEAR WHITE PEOPLE, FRESH OFF THE BOAT, Paramount Director’s Initiative) and the Indian-Canadian boxing drama DIL RAKH: GLOVES OF KIN among others. Evan also EP'ed and secured a line of financing for the original series BOUND FOR GLORY produced in partnership with former Microsoft exec and GeekWire Chairman Jonathan Sposato for his upstart Asian-focused streamer Joy Sauce

Evan writes and produces half hour and hour long television while making a name for himself as an EP in the unscripted world producing high budget event series, the first of which is the $20M ORIGINS: THE JOURNEY OF HUMANKIND for Disney+ followed by TIMELAPSE OF THE UNIVERSE with 44 Blue and WME. Evan is EP on the HBO // Discovery series FUNNY OR DIE’S HIGH SCIENCE alongside Paul Bettany and he is now adapting THE CUPID INDEX, a Persian romantic comedy novel, for Forbes Billionaire Farhad Moshiri into a feature Evan will direct.
